In The Room is about presence—being fully here for your life, the connections you’ll make, conversations that inspire and the moments that matter.

Founded by Palak Dave in 2017, what began as a few intimate gatherings has grown into In The Room (formerly Embiria)—a membership and community events rooted in real-life connection.

With over 350+ events hosted and 5,000+ women brought together across Canada and the US, Palak has created powerful spaces for presence, conversation, and transformation. Through insightful conversations, curated experiences and brand partnerships, In The Room continues to foster authentic relationships and remind women of what’s possible when they show up fully—for themselves and each other.

MEET PALAK DAVE, FOUNDER

Palak is the Founder of In The Room, as well as a Connector, Host, Investor and Author of Beautiful Everydays: A Guide to Living in the Here and Now.

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Palak — founder of In The Room, author of Beautiful Everydays, and someone who believes that the best parts of life happen when we’re fully present and connected to ourselves and the people around us.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been the friend who curates beautiful spots to gather, people to connect with and the kind of experiences that leave you feeling seen and inspired. After a decade in corporate marketing roles with companies including TIFF and Indigo, I knew my purpose was something deeper: creating spaces for humans to experience the richness of life through real connections and conversations that expand.

In 2017, I began hosting intimate gatherings rooted in community. Since then, I’ve curated and hosted 400+ events, welcoming over 5,000 people into rooms across Canada and the US. I believe deeply in the power of real-life connections, and I’ve seen firsthand how transformative they can be. Through my work, I’ve partnered and hosted experiences for brands like Lululemon, Bumble, and Nespresso, and I’ve had the privilege of being featured in outlets like The Everygirl, Authority Magazine, and The Huffington Post. I’ve also shared incredible conversations on my approach to life as a guest on numerous top-rated podcasts, including Live Well Anyway, Hotter Than Health podcast, Talk Healthy to Me, and AsianBoss Girl.

In The Room is a space for presence and possibility, where one meaningful conversation or shared moment can shift everything. Whether through an intentional event, an intimate community gathering, or the experiences found in my book Beautiful Everydays, everything I create is designed to bring you back to what matters most: connection, presence, and living a life that expands you.
